At one of many nationwide events, over 3000 folks participated in this event, driven by the passions of students and young adults, supported by seasoned volunteers, candidates and elected officials.
When one nervous, but particularly passionate middle school student addressed the crowd, she asked the question (of previous generations), “When you went to school, were you afraid, every day, of being shot?” when the crowd answered, “No,” she responded, with firm conviction, “WE ARE!”
How many more students need to live with such a fear until enough is truly enough? Their patience has run it’s course, as they vow to show up at the polls in November, in large numbers, and vote for the changes they feel are so long overdue.
