Diane Imbach believes leadership begins with listening, solving problems, and earning trust.
Raised in a small town in Colorado, Diane learned the values of hard work, integrity, and public service from her parents. Her father was a music and choir teacher, and her mother worked in banking before serving as Clerk of the District and County Courts. Those lessons shaped Diane’s commitment to serving others with honesty, accountability, and respect.
For more than 45 years, people trusted Diane to solve problems, lead through change, and protect their financial well-being. She began her career as a loan secretary at a community bank facing possible FDIC closure under a federal Memorandum of Understanding. Diane helped lead the effort to correct the bank’s compliance challenges, transforming it into the only bank in Nevada at the time to earn the highest possible “1” rating in Compliance, Community Reinvestment Act, and Safety and Soundness.
Over the next 45 years, Diane helped lead banks through remarkable change—from typewriters to today’s digital banking systems—while earning increasing leadership responsibilities through five banking mergers. She rose from loan secretary to Chief Operating Officer of a Douglas County community bank, building a reputation as a trusted leader, problem solver, and someone who consistently delivered results.
Diane and her husband have been married for 26 years and have proudly called Douglas County home since 1990. She has served her community as President of the Tahoe-Douglas Chamber of Commerce and as Chair of both the Tahoe Douglas Sewer District and the Zephyr Heights General Improvement District.
Today, Diane is running for Douglas County Commissioner because she believes residents deserve a leader who listens first, makes thoughtful decisions, and is accountable to the people she serves. She is committed to being the voice of the residents, protecting taxpayer dollars, and bringing the same proven problem-solving, transparency, and fiscal responsibility that have defined her career. Diane has spent a lifetime earning people’s trust—and she’s ready to put that experience to work for the future of Douglas County.
